Following a crash & an uninstall of Zip drive 'iomega',
when I start up I have an error mssg (unable to load
dynamic link library,   msnp32.dll,   'D;\CDSAMPLE\'  or
one of it's components).  The error messgae prevents the

I am unable to get manual override and establish my own
virtual memory settings (right click "My Computer",
Properties, Performance, Virtual Memory, radio
button "Manually Set", and enter Minimum and Maximum

The startup time on my PC alternates from about 2:30
minutes to 4:30 minutes every other time I start my PC.
I'm running with a PII-350 and 380 mb RAM.  Shouldn't the
startup time be the same each time?

As my pc is running something is causing windows to create
MANY temp files (sometimes several thousand).  After being
on for several hours windows 98 slows down dramatically.  
I have run window washer and see that it has deleted

When I set my color settings in windows at 256 and then
reboot the setting keeps going back to 16.  Can someone
tell me how to fix this, as my Photoshop program will not
run unless the setting is at 256.  Thanks

My machine is locking up on me.  The screen goes blank
(black) and I get the folling message at the top of the
screen:  PARITY CHECK 10000.
I then need to restart, but it keeps doing it.

to turn it on and I get nothing on the monitor and it
beeps every few seconds.  Help!

50% of the time. What's up?

I get this alot and wondering how to fix it if at all ?

Every time I attempt to shut down my computer, I get
a "blue screen" with the following message:

Starting  98 I get the blue screen of death that says 98
has shut down to protect my computer from damage. STOP

What's wrong?I tried to reinstall 98se and it said to

Am using Win98SE. After installing a webcam, the system
froze everytime I tried to use the webcam. I checked the
task manager, and the msgsrv.exe file appeared to be the
cause of the problem.
