The startup time on my PC alternates from about 2:30 minutes to 4:30 minutes every other time I start my PC. I'm running with a PII-350 and 380 mb RAM. Shouldn't the startup time be the same each time?

When I set my color settings in windows at 256 and then reboot the setting keeps going back to 16. Can someone tell me how to fix this, as my Photoshop program will not run unless the setting is at 256. Thanks

Am using Win98SE. After installing a webcam, the system froze everytime I tried to use the webcam. I checked the task manager, and the msgsrv.exe file appeared to be the cause of the problem.
