I just recently upgraded my Ram to 768 MB (3x 256mb
sd,dimm,pc133), however I am getting a message that my ram
is getting low and I am running 58% system resource free.
According to my user manual I can max out at around 1.5

 The past few days, when i try to turn my computer on, the
desktop background pops up and no icons show up yet..and
nothing happens. it wont start up all the way.  i hit
ctrl-alt-delete and only one program is running:run once.

When I restart win98,I get a pop up page,that says Error
starting programe.A required DLL.file was not
found.SYMNETI.DLL.where do i look for this file perhaps
damaged?

I am unable to scan disk and defragment due to s message
that I believe is "writing to disk" during the process.  I
would very much appreciate your help in locating whatever
is "writing" and modifying, or are there any other options

Does anyone have any reliable data about what kind of
performance gains can be had by running Defrag?
How about plain, old, non-scientific, personal
observations? Anyone actually observed his/her system

Recently I have had tons of problems.  Long delays between mouse clicks,
popups appearing, ad-aware constantly detecting registry modifications.
I constantly run ad-aware and it finds stuff, and it deletes it.  I run
Hijack This, and post it (with all startups running) and they ...

each time i turn on the computer everything loads and just
after the loading i get this error message : permission
denied run-time error 70 ... i have to click OK to get the
message off the screen ... this happens each time i turn

Im having a problem with the mouse not responding at times
and the clock is a few hours slow. I changed the battery
and on the motherboard and still seems the same???

I just installed a new PCI Multimedia Device. It's called
the Real Magic Hollywood Plus. It allows me to play DVDs
back on my computer screen. After I installed this card, I
started to have problems with my computer.

Problem: After running Nortons System Works WinDoctor I
get this message. program files missing
C/Windows\System\Sonysys.Sys file missing can't locate

I am running on 57 to 64 % of my capabilities on my

My 5 year old Presario 8025 will freeze then reboot when a

and wanted to give my specifics and ask some specifics.
I have gotten this "a fatal exception OE has occurred..."
when I have just normally tried to shut down my computer.  

Computer win98 freezes and displays/illegal operation/
throughout many programs. Only one game downloaded doesn't
freeze, no time frame. Just occurs. New hardware, 128 ram.
Device manager shows all hardware working great. Pls help

when i click the e icon for my msn homepage i get a white
screen with y.msn.com/'>here  in the top left corner.
