When I start my computer up the C:\ folder opens
automatically. Can someone please tell me how to stop this

I am running WIN98se on a Dell CPx laptop (650mHz). The Bios is the
recentest available.
There are two DIMM slots ("A" and "B") which each had 64mB DIMM memory chips
until onr day slot "B" stopped working. I verified that it was the slot and

memory is been locked by the system as files open. it is
then staying locked untill reboot,
i have tried closing all files but the memory stays locked

I have an older pc running 98.  The machine has 256k ram
and 80% of it's resources free.  All of a sudden it keep
comming up with insufficient memory messages and won't
load any programs (trying to start a Word document).  I've

I have just purchased broadband.
It can only be used on my laptop which is XP for
technical reasons(aol. As my desktop is 98 it does not

windows is up and running all other sounds work fine.  Please someone
help me.  I have many desk top themes and I want the sounds for these
themes to work.
