For some reason, when I double click to open ANY folder, there is a 5 or 10 second delay. Openning anything else (programs, etc.)is normal? What's going on? My system resources are cool (86%), I defragged and did a scan disc

I can no longer access anything in the Control Panel: after it opens up and I click any of the icons I get the message "Access to specified path, file or device denied." Anyone have any suggestions?

Computer set up with Win98 and two hard drives,(C and D). CDROM is Drive E. CDROM works with Plug and Play, but I cannot open it manualy. (MY computer drive E).Error message "drive not accessable".

My computer seems tremdously sluggish, as programs take minutes, not seconds to open. Word will eventually open, but will not open any documents. Outlook seems to work, as does Explorer. Norton is slow, but eventually works.
