I am running windows 98se and it is running very slow.  I
have made some changes in the msconfig to stop things
booting in the startup, but my internet explorer and
internet connection is slow, when i exit out the maching

EVERY SINCE I UPGRADED FROM WIN 98 TO WIN 98 SE I'VE

My computer is slow and hangs whin i use the internet. I
have 96mb of ram yet I get a res low and that my comp is

I have been awakened in the middle of the night when my
98se computer turns itself on.  I had removed several
programs I no longer use, using the remove system. Then
cleaned up some bits and pieces that remained under the

W98 won't boot, I get to the W98 logo, then shuts down and
start all over again.
Here's the background info: I was getting a kernel32.dll
page fault error. I used MS advise by deleting *.pwl files

I still use W98SE.  The Troubleshooter is not working. The
list of porblems appears, but the possible solutions pages
are all blank.  Any ideas?  Thanks.  Paul

My Windows 98 operating system is getting sluggish.  It
not only takes a very long time to acces the Internet, but
even my regular apps. (Word,etc.)are taking a long time to
change screens, etc.  Any ideas on how to fix this?

I started to write the following litany and then realize that it is
getting too complex, so let me summarize by saying I tried to register
and new virus protection program, hung my W98SE Pentium II 266 system
and it is now unstable. Won't boot without extraordinary manipulation
