programs not responding, eplorer, my coumpter, scandisk. I also have gotten the message "explorer caused an invaliad page fault in kernel 32.dll at 015:bff9dba7. i would appreciatate any help i can get

I was recently hit by a virus Puta!!, Natal, Speedy, Scrsvr, msupdate.   I
have removed the virus but i cannot start any exe's now.
All that happens is a dos box flicks up for a brief second and flicks off
Start.exe has become a problem i think .

Cant seem to get the system resources above 50%. Got all
this hot connection and a slow machine. Cleared out the
cookies and temp internet files and the removed unused

WHEN I TRY TO DEFRAG MY COMPUTER WICH IS A IBM THINKPAD

Microsoft windows does not recognize my user name or

I know that I need to get rid of junk programs that are

CTRL+ALT+DELETE.  I do not know how to permanently get rid

Upon starting up Windows 98 I consistently get an error
message that is titled MSUPDATE and reads " This program
has performed an illegal operation and will be closed."

My computer resources were down to 4% but after some
tweaking is now 53%, still not good enough.  I'm running
Win98SE with the latest update.  I just upgraded from 128
to 256MB on an Intel III at 700MHz.

My hard drive seems to run constantly.  When I've tried
easy fixes, like scan disk, defragmentor, I get an error
message that a program "is still writing to Windows."  How

My wife's Gateway GP6-300 (P-2 @300mhz,64mg of RAM) runs Windows98(FE).  We
bought it new in 1998.  She uses it in her small home-based business and
only loads Office 2000 and Quickbooks.
It loads and runs programs VERY slowly.  The guy at CompUSA suggested I
