My computer got put into safe mode during startup. When I returned it to the normal mode the icons and any further pages are an expanded size. Plus AOL now has fuzzy and darkened areas, with messages about needing 265 colors.

I have been trying to do a Norton Disk Doctor and defrag but the process keeps restarting "due to disk write". I have gone in to the list of all things running (using CTRL+ALT+DEL) and have turned basically everything off.
