Would there be any benefit to upgrading my WIN98SE
computer's bios? It is 6 years old and has never had one
done but I am concerned about screwing up the computer.

I have always had trouble resarting my 98SE computer.
I have tried closing all of the backgroung apps, ran
adaware, spyware, fprot, cleaned up the registry ,
uninstalled programs but to no avail. It's no big deal as

I am currently having a probelm with my mouse lagging
behind in movement.  Also the same is true of keyboard
entries, it seems to lag a few character behind, unless I
type very slowly and methodically.  Any suggestions?

A couple of days ago my brother was browsing the net.
He then shut down as normal.
Yesterday he attempted to boot up and couldn't get past
the blue Windows 98 screen. I suggested he type

I have many programs in MSconfig. utilities startup that
are no longer installed on my computer.  I know they
really don't affect anything as long as they are
unchecked,  but it makes for a long unneccessary list. I

When I turn the computer on, the wallpaper appears, but the icons do not.  A

the options 1: normal, 2: logged, 3: safemode, 4: step by
step confirmation, 5: command prompt only, 6: safe mode
