I have Windows 98.  I am unable to clean the heads of my
Epson 440 printer.  I keep getting an illegal operation.  
I then click on close and the Word portion is frozen.  
What kind I do?

Hey Is Any 1 Facing This Wierd Problem ? When Ever I Give
A Printout The Printer Prints A Page With The User Name
Date & Time Before Printing Each Job & Then Starts 2 Print
The Print Job On The Next Page?

My friend just got an HP PSC 1100 All in One printer.  We
have been trying to install it on Windows 98 SE without
much success.  It's taken six attempts to actually get
the printer installed, but now, it's still not

prints OK after acknowledging message and killing hpftbx06
or will initiate a new job after acknowledging and killing
hpfvls06, but it is a pain to have to keep hitting the
return key

I am trying to setup a print connection from a Win 98
machine to a Win XP Pro machine.  I am unable to access
the printer.  The printer is shared on the XP machine and
the share name is less than 12 characters.  Any ideas?

  After instaling this printer I have a problem in
windows explorer. When I go into it my computer hangs.
If the USB cable is not connected to the computer it
doesn't hang. With the cable connected Ican access  

I hooked up my USP printer, but can't print due to no USP

After some Windows 98 update my printer did not work.
I checked he system infromation all the COMM pportas are
there but the LP1 port is missing.

I have just format and re-setup a pc with Win98 SE for a
client to get rid of a virus.
Occasionally when say printing from Word and selecting
File and Print then it should bring up the dialog box but

print view does not show document as it is typed out, i.e.
instead of the letter head, it prints out a line of
alphabets only.  Does anyone have any idea what could be
the problem here?

    Ocassionally during or after a print job I'll get an 'illegal
operation' notice and the printer will disappear from the printer list.
Print job may finish or stop after some number of whole pages. Never partial

When trying to add a Lexmark C510N via TCP/IP the option
to "add standard local port" does not appear, is there any
way I can add 1 Plz.

I have a Lexmark 2030 Jetprinter that has seemed to go
into slow motion.  It takes about 10 minutes a page and
the print is not as clear as it should be.  Any
suggestions?
