  A customer upgraded their machine from Windows 95 to Windows 98.
When they try to print a test page on their printer, they get the
message: There was an error writing to LPT1. Cannot access the port.  It
may be in use by another program.

I have Win98SE, with all known patches, installed and working fine
(almost), using a HP DeskJet 722C printer.  My problem comes up whenever
I print something, anything.
When I print anything the printer icon shows up in the SysTray and the
problems with Spool32 invalid page fault at startup -module unknown18 Apr 2005 22:37 GMT1
I have been having this problem since installing my only printer-brother
HL1440--got this to rid myself of an older Lexmark ink jet.
I have tried many things--deleted printer driver--downloaded must
current driver--switched to the HP II driver, all to no avail.

I have a small network of 4 computers. I installed Epson printer on one of
them and shared it with others. When I print from the shared computer It
takes about 10 sec. to start printing. But If they print from other machine
it takes some 3 min. Is there a way to fix that? I checked ...
