I can't seem to install windows on a laptop with no other
OS on. I have used the bootdisk but the problem occurs
when I try to select support with CD-ROM. i can only use
one drive at a time (both use the same bay) the Win98

My exisiting  #1 HDD (C:) is failing. The machine has a
2nd, identical HDD which is almost empty. How can I most
easily transfer everything to the 2nd HDD and make it the
bootable start-up drive?

I have a single PC that I want to use purely for testing programs my company
/ I write. The PC has two physical hard drives, each partitioned into two
drives - I thus have drives C:, D:, E: and F:.
I have got Win95 to install on C:, and wanted to now install Win98 on D:.

I updated my PC with a new MB,amd 2800 cpu, HD etc.
keeping the operating system, WIN 98 SE in the transfer. I
had NAV on drive before , but did my best to remove it
from registry & folders to eliminate Nortons Live Update

I have windows '98, have just installed a CD burner drive..
In trying to use the Microsoft backup routines to write
to the CD;s now (instead of diskette!) I get the message
"Media is Write Protected"

I am trying to install Win98 after removing linux from my
system. However, when Scandisk runs, I get the message
saying that it could not read from my hard disk. When I
run fdisk, it says that there is a data flow error with my
