I am really stuck, i re-installed win 98 because i lost
some system settings, and after it had all finsished i re-
booted and all i get is the screen "enter network
password. first line username second line password and

I have had to reformat my hard drive due to a virus.
Formated ok, then loaded the start up disk. When typing
the command setup i get the error message
CDR101 Not ready reading drive E

I reformatted the hard drive on my old pc and then tried
to reinstall Win98.  It turns out it's an Upgrade CD,
which I used eons ago to upgrade from Win95.  The
installation routine won't allow me to get past the part

My Win98 sometimes hang, no action at all. I have checked the harddisk
using scandisk, seems fine.
What else I can check fot the Win98 hang issue?

How do I go from WindowsMe to Windows98? I have a disk for
Windows98 for PCs without Windows.

I can't find anything that will tell me how to load win
98 SE. Every time I load it it won't let my daughter play
any of here games on it. Can someone E-mail me the

I bought my system from Gateway in 98.  It came loaded
with 95 and they upgraded for free to 98.  They gave me
the disk but no product key.  I had a fatal error and had
to reboot.  Its mostly so my 4 year old can play games.  

I have a computer it was locking up then a error came on after locating hard drive and cd drive that say's COMOS CHECKSUM ERROR defaults loaded then it say's press F1 to go to setup nothing happens no matter what I try can you help.
