I have Windows 98 Second Edition. I went to check under
Start, Programs, Accessories, System Tools, System
Information. When I clicked on System Information, it told
me I have a missing .DLL file - MSVCRT40.DLL. Can someone

Had to re-install win98.  After setup is complete, the
computer re-boots and it tells me that it is "building
driver information database.  After this, I get a white
box error message that says "Error loading explorer.ese

 I would like to type a letter but on yhe left side of

I have a problems with a Win98 machine that wiil not run after being update
with Windows Update.
The vmm32.vxd is missing, and I followed this atricle

Whenever i try to install Windows98 SE on my Compaq
Presario 2515EA, i get an error message during setup that
"A fatal exception OE has occured at 0028:FF02847B."
And my system halts everytime.

error.... (Very, Very frustrating).  I am now getting the

in start up my comp says its missing a .dll file and i
have to reload windows 98SE. I downloaded a win98 boot
disk from another computer and when i try to use it, my
comp doesnt seem to be reading the boot disk at all. I

directories. Appear to be the install program for programs
and patches I have installed in the past. some microsoft
office app updates. Why have these been retained??

and then RE INSTALL it.
I hope to achieve a better running of the programs after
that.
