I bought a MS basic optical mouse. Then I downloaded the latest Inttelimouse driver. The whole thing made the mouse go wild, all over the screen, has no stability. Hw can this be remedied?

OK, here is the latest happenings. After reading the question as to whether the BIOS detected the drive, I checked it out and it did not recognize anything. I made sure they were all set to AUTO DETECT and restarted, still did not detect anything.

I have an old computer with win 95 on it. I upgraded to 98, then let it get updates from MS. It would not boot, so i did fdisk and format, now I can't reinstall 98 without proof of 85, and I don't have the disk. Help!!
