Windows 98se, IE6 SP1
Cannot delete "31 floppy (A)" shortcut,
system error 1026 (this is not a valid shortcut - grayedout).
Other shortcuts are ok, including 3.5 Floppy (A) shortcut.

I recently formatted my c: drive and now when I try to install my Win98 it
starts out all right, scans disk etc... then it says copying files for 98

How do i open the Service Control Manager, like in windows xp you can just
type service.msc in the run window but in 98 it doesn't work, is there any
other way of opening it?

Bought Compaq Armada 4220T notebook at fair.  No OS installed.  No cdrom to
install software from.  No usb port.
Have win98 cd but can't use due to only external I have is a usb cdrom.  Do
have usb pcmcia card but can't get laptop to recognize without OS.
