I have an intermittant problem under WIN98SE that SEEMS to be due to programs not closing completely (I'm not sure, though). When it happens, it is most often my Mozilla 1.5 browser... but it has happened with other programs.

This machine is running Windows 98 SE. I have run into a strange occurrence. If I go into MSDOS mode even once, when I select "shutdown", the machine would then restart instead of shutting down. If I don't enter MSDOS mode, then the machine shuts down accordingly.

When I shut down my system, sometimes it restarts instead of shuting down. There is no specific pattern to this, sometimes it does, sometimes not. Does anybody know why this happens?
