by mistaken i change excel properties to notepad. by right clicking on it i am able to open it with this option:open using microsoft excel for windows but the icon displayed for excel sheet is same as that for notepad. so

In folder right-click mouse, will popup a menu. I dont know why today lose(miss) two import item in popup menu. a, "send to--> desktop shortcut" item is lose. b. "new --> folder, text file, ......" item is lose.

I hope somebody can help, I have an old Compaq laptop that is ready to die, but I need to grab a few files from it. Everytime I try to boot, it drops into Registry Checker, tells me a good registry has been restored, and asks for restart, but on restart it keeps dropping back ...

Does anyone know why autoexec.bat does not execute when window 98 start up? I have added a few to clean the temp internet folder, such as DELTREE /y C:\CWIN98\tempor~1 but when window starts and I check this folder, and still find cookie there.
