Only close to the correct NG for this but......
I did a format and reinstall using Ghost2003. W98se runs OK and some
apps run fine, others won't run.
Most of the files were restored with the R (REadOnly) bit set. Now

I did a disk format and restored via DOS, W98se using Ghost2003.
Many of the files were written back w/ the R (ReadOnly) bit set.
Windows boots OK, some apps have no problems, others won't run.

What will happend to a 250GB disk with 4 x 60GB partitions under

USB cabinet Win98se sees all 4 partitions and can read/write as normal

I am trying to help my neighbour. His installation of W98SE has "broken".
When booting from the hard drive, it says several files including
explorer.exe are missing and that windows should be re-installed.
