I've run Office 2000 succesfully for several years in Win98SE, but suddenly it won't start anymore in the user profiles. It will still run in the default user (? when I press cancel instead of choosing a user profile at start up). I haven't installed anything new, except perhaps

ok well here goes i managed to get windows 98se to install and it gets all the way to windows is starting up for the first time boot screen and thats as for as it goes it just sits there doin nothing no Hdd activity nothing after about 45seconds into the boot process no error ...

Every file or picture I download becomes a Binder Document, then you try to open it and you get an error message saying this is not a Binder File, I cant find out how to change it? Cany anyone tell me please?

When I go to open a file, or save one using the "save as" option, the files listed in the subsequent dialog box appear to be in a random order. I remember that there a trick to change it so they would be sorted the way I choose by default, but I can't remember how to do that.

I have just about come to the end of my tether. The older PC decided not to work and I thought well maybe it was timely to reformat and reinstall Win98. It is always a big job but this time I have got to this error I havent had before.

Have a small problem, computer running like new, but opening MSconfig-> last tab[startup] gives some entries I want to delete. They refer to a virus I had sometime ago and got rid off. Every time I start up these non existing file cant be found and give a blue screen. Question; ...

As a stopgap we are setting up a Win98 machine, which has been upgraded to SE from the MS website. Therefore I only have access to a MS win98 basic disc. Now we need to install broadband from BT (British Telecom)

When installing Windows 98 SE using the original CD ROM, I get his message: Not enough space on D To install Win 98 on drive C, you need 21 mb of space on D. D has only 1.4 mb To take care of this problem, please remove some files from hard drive.
