I am looking for some help, prior to having to re-install windows 98.
System Info:
Emachine 533i, GenuineIntel Intel(r) Celeron(tm) Processor, 256mb RAM
Windows-managed swap file on drive C (5771MB free)

Can anybody please help me.
I am a computer novice and treated myself to an old lap
top (IBM Thinkpad), everything has been okay but today
when I tried to start up I am getting a message

while trying to install earthlink  I get a message
D:\windows/MSXML\msxml3.msi returned 1625.  I was told it

downloaded and installed Windows Installer 1.1

When I try to run AutoCAD LT 2002 I get the message "ACLT

017f:65fele3b.  The message goes on to list the registers,
bytes, and stack dump.

My first question to you is about Picture viewer.exe
I cannot locate it anywhere on my PC,which means I am
unable to open any links with this lost,corrupted or
missing file.

I recently installed a HP 8200 CD Writer in my computer
under windows 98. However, I cannot write to the CD but I
can read it. When Windows 98 came out, there was no writer
CD. What kind of software do I need to get this to write?

Ok!
When I right click my desktop, and goto prefrences to
Change my backdrop etc etc... I get an error
"Access to the specified device, path or file is denied"

How can I replace the 'secur32.dll' missing file in
Windows 98 second edition?

frequently, i recieve an error message when i try to back
up my files:  the media is write protected.
How do i remove the write protection from my files?

When I run my Norton's One Button Check Up the following
error message is returned after trying to fix
it: "C:\Program Files\Common
Files\InstallShield\Professional\RunTime\0701\Intel32

Can anyone help.
When I click on the recycle Bin icon my computer hangs -
nothing works. I do ctrl-alt-del (twice) this takes me to
the box that shows programes that are not responding.

How can you get rid of the NDIS intialization error
that occurs when you have a processor that is faster
than 2.1Ghz?
