I have had problems for quite some time with defrag. due to constantly starting over. I read your advice, ran it in safe mode, and defrag. did it's job. Thanks for everyone's help.

I can no longer use WORD. I am running Windows 98 (2nd ed) and when I try to open any document. My comp. locks up and I get a window telling me "...Resourses are dangerously low...do I want to terminate the application...)
