The desktop icons continue to rearrange on their own.
What is causing this and how can I fix?

I tried everything posted as a solution within the last two
weeks, last night attempted Diagnostic startup from
startup menu using Step-by Step confirmation menu, here is
what happened:

tried to boot but didn't work...gives me an error
message 'long file name...scan disk...' but when start to
open w98 just opens blue screen but not any of the
applications...any hlp?
