If anyone could help, I would really appreciate it!  
Each time I try to open a Wordpad doc, it says it
performed an illegal operation and is shutting down;
details are that Wordpad caused an invalid page fault at

when i start my computer (with windows 98), i've noticed
that several programs show up in the task list (via
ctl+alt+del) as running.  however, none of these programs
are in my "startup" folder in the start menu.

Anyone know whether or not there are known conflicts
between Windows 98 and Symantec NIS 2004?  I installed NIS

stopped working for my C-drive, but it still works
