Please kindly help me. I've got a Win98 PC at work. It
works fine, until anyone tries to install something.
During installation, it will hang. The only way out then
is to do a hard reboot. Not onnly during installation,

I was installing a Sony Ericsson data cable and it just
didnt work.
But now everything in my Add/Remove uninstall list has
gone.

How do i get a keyboard into WIN 98 when its laguage is
not installed in the system. For example in german czech
keyboard

What does this error message mean?  How do I fix it?
And am I the only one who cannot find any worthwhile help
at the MS site??????

Some time ago I discovered that I couldn't open text documents, suffixed

Hi ! I have a Win98 System but as I can read it's for all kind and versions
of Windows.
It began with the typical Windows message : Eudora has caused an error . .
. bla bla with the module mshtml.dll . . .

i did a virus scan and one infected file showed up. this
file was C:\do.exe. what is this? can i delete it myself?

I want to stop a program from trying to start up everytime
I boot the machine. I have looked in
start/programs/startup and have had no luck finding how to
turn it off.

When I'm in Word 97, if I switch on the printer, the PC
reboots. Often it continues to reboot just as it reaches a
new desktop. I think this a Windows problem rather than a
Word problem.

I can't open any applications in Win 98 SE without getting
the windows cannot find start.exe message. Any ideas about
what this might be?

I uninstalled my desktop theme from the Add/Remove menu in
the control panel(windows set up tab).
When I tried to reopen(without re-installing) it asked
with what application I wanted to open with(ex: acrobat

When I run Norton it picks up an error that win dr. says
there is no solution.
