Anybody know what would cause Windows 98SE to lock up when I try to access
my floppy drive?  The drive works okay in DOS.

my daughter had went to a web sight that downloaded a
bunch of gambling exe/I went to my control panel and there
is a bridge thing there and I can not remove it,let alone
find it in explore.Can anyone help me.I have windows

My Computer & Control Panel display incorrectly (all of
the columns are pushed right down to the bottom of the
page) and when I try to run Nero Burning Rom it says "The
Win-ASPI file ?.? can't be found, therefore you can select

I can't run lfnbk.exe. I tried from ms-dos window as well.
Is there another way to fix long file name errors?

I have had problems with IE 6.0 for the last year on and
off and it has become a real pain, so I went over to
Netscape as my browser. However, i still use microsofts
address book and I have lost all data probably 4 times in

Registered for "on line quotes". Had success for many
months. All of a sudden I get " Symbols not recognized".
Checked symbols which are correct. Re-registered for "on
line quotes" AGAIN yet still get "Symbols not recognized"?

When installing applications for .exe files, I've been
having problems getting them to install.  When an
application comes up with a window that says to disable
the anti-virus program to continue, I do, and then click

I am using Windows 98SE and Word 2000.  Ihave very large
word files with alot of equations in them.  It takes
forever for the equations to load and to appear.  Is there
anyway I can allocate more memory to Word.  I was able to

When I click "shut down", Windows exit but my computer
dont close and I must press the button on my computer.
When I click "restart",Windows exit but dont restarting
and I must press again the button off my computer.

I have WinMe Upgrade from Win98.
When I reinstalled Me, it asked Win98 to be first
installed, however I lost the Key Code which the system
asks before the install of win98.  I thrown the Win98 box
