Error: Get Bitmapsbits failed12 Apr 2004 23:30 GMT1
First start of newly installed program gave error
message "Get Bitmapsbits failed. Try turning off device
bitmaps". So program didn´t start. Where can I find the
device "bitmaps" ? Is it a sign of a conflict ? How

I had this problem before, but stupid me, I did not save the answer.
Seems that a program, or whatever, has taken over my computer.  It is
fastsearch.cc  It pops up when I try to open a particular web site.
How do I get rid of it.  I use McAfee as my virus checker and also

I'm using Win 98.
I got the "cannot run unicode version of atl.dll on WIN95"
too. It turns out something I installed overwrote atl.dll
(Win95) with the atl.dll (NT) version.

Running regedit from the run box, it opens a few seconds and then
closes or disappears from screen, not shown to be running in close
program box.  What causes this?  I've got Spybot and Spyware Blaster
running but I didn't think either of them locks the registry.

How do I delete downloaded files so they stay deleted?  I
used Disc Cleanup, and I used Select All/DeleteEmpt trash
but when I switch the computer on again, they're back -
even when I take the plug out.  What's going on?  They're

ISINST30 caused a general protection fault in module
_INS0433._MP at memory address
The solution proposed is that mswheel.exe program should
be disabled in system configuration. But my PC does have

I don't know what happened but all of the sudden when I
click on the vertical scroll bar and drag it down, the
appearance of the page is in a rolling wavy manner.
