My inernet provider disconnect me after 2 hours, I could reconnect again,

Got as a gift an HP computer from mother in law. After I
tried to uninstall a virus protection (Norton) (I wanted
to install my mcafee) had to re-start. Now when I try to
start it just has wallpaper and nothing else.

The control panel scanners and cameras does not show up in
control panel folder. It may have been deleted how do you
reload it?

How do I clean the Java cache and will it damage of erase
any of my programs?  I did it once before to clean out
some files and can't remember what site gave me the
information.  Thanks

i cannot get this to download........any ideas?

I have downloaded Media Player 9 and 7 for 98se and when I
try to install the app. I get the message "The " package
you are trying to install is not applicable with your
version of Windows."  I checkd my sys info and it says "98
