I tried everything to get works to uninstall so I could do
a clean install and nothing seems to work. Have even done
the Microsoft Way and still have no uninstall Shows
Message 1706 error and missing service files.

Could anybody tell me if i could load win98 over win me.

Greetings. Three problems I'm having:
1. When Windows starts, I get a message
saying  "ctrlpan.dll" isn't found. How do I fix this?
2. I seem to have lost my autorun.exe file from the C:\

Recently installed this X73 --- what a pain. Bombay tech support only made
matters worse - no help - gave me bad info. The website is not much better.

When i run scandisk I get a message that sayes not enough
memory any help please!

I was told that I could download the upgrade from
Microsoft, however, I can't seem to find it.
My reason for this upgrade is so that I can use a newly
purchased JumpDrive 2.0 Pro.

My desktop file (c:\windows\desktop) was deleted.  This
action also deletes the recycle bin.  Since I cannot the
bin, I cannot recover the desktop.  Is there a way to
restore these items?

I get this message continuously that the updmger has
performed an illegal operation and will close down

It means I cannot update things like virus definitions.
