Dear Friends:
When I bought my first computer, one of the features I
loved about Windows 95 was that I was able to send faxes
using my computer.  I have had Windows 98 for quite some

I've suddenly started getting popups every time I fire up Internet
Explorer and these coincide with the appearence in c:\windows\temp of
the file ll22.exe and dummy.htm. The latest updates from Pest Patrol
and Norton Antivorus don't find anything. Deleting these files results

My oeault32.dll is causing errors in updating realplayer.
Somehow I have version 2.40.4514 and need to be running a

Whenever I download a zip file off a website and try to
decompress the file, it doesn't automatically use the
WinZip extractor, but the program app instead. This
happens for all zip files, not just some. This never

I have just formated the HD and reinstalled win 98 after
lots of problems.  Now when I go to defrag the HD I get
this message.

The link to notepad in start is broken and notepad.exe has
disappeared. I did find notepad.exe.bak in c:/windows and
assume this is a back-up file. If so can anyone tell me
how to re-install it or where to download notepad.exe?

I have had Quicken Deluxe 98 installed and used for years.
It shows it is enabled in the systems utility area.  I
have always accessed it by use of a start-up icon on my
desktop. I used it on 7/9/04, but have been gone and have

Neither Scandisk nor Defragment will work outside of
Safety Mode.
Have tried turning off virus software, filing software,
sound, calander, etc.
