I have recently tried using an optical Dell USB mouse with my old Pac Bell, which has Windows 98SE installed. During bootup, a Windows error box will display something to the effect of, "Windows does not detect a mouse...".

Suddenly this week, the dates in my applications are not showing the month but just showing an "m". For example, in Outlook Express, an email dated 10/7/04 appears in the list as m/7/04. It does the same thing in other applications. Can anyone help me with this problem?
