When I try to opoen Wordpad I get:
Wordpad caused an invalid page fault in module
MSWRD832.CNV at 0167:0140fcf5

The kids computer went kaput a couple of weeks ago. As I cant afford to
replace it just yet I thought I would let them use my old lappy cos all they
use the puter for is internet and chatting.  I have newly installed win98se
on the laptop so there is nothing on there except ...

a friend has 98 and can not defrag, unless he goes to safe mode.  any ideas
why that would be?  he said when he trys to defrag in 'normal' mode, defrag
will start, then defrag restarts itself, etc. goes on like that. but, in safe
mode it works as it should, thanks
