I did a backup on my elderly neighbours computer and turned AVG off so they
came up as errors in the backup.
Also these errors came up:

Does the above need to be in the startup, i have disabled everything else
except volume control and AVG -Grisoft anti virus.  

I have installed Spybot on my elderly neighbours computer.  I have Ad-Aware
SE personal on mine, I use Windows XP.  Neighbours computer has minimum
memory.
Can ad-aware run on Windows 98 and does it do what spybot does or more????

Just recently I have been having problems with my media players (WMP v.7,
MPclassic).  Every time I load them and try to play a file, they hang and
then I must reboot windows.  I've tried updating my video driver,
un-installing and re-installing the players and even restoring the ...

I made a bit of a pig's bottom of installing some USB drivers for a "mass
storage device" and I'm left with a lot of yellow markers and an
unrecognised MSD.
Unfortunately, when I try and remove said drivers the system freezes/locks

Is there a maximum size of HDD, I can use in Win98se?
If so, if I buy an HDD larger than this, is there a work-around?

If I try and copy a large folder from one drive to another, with a drag and
drop or sendto option, the copying starts but right at the end, when the
progress bar looks 100%, the numbers indicating the number of minutes to
completion, go into the many thousands.

I am trying to istall windows98 in a computer that had windows95 on it. I
installed win98 frist from a hard disk and need to install it now from the
cd. but the cd-rom is not reading it. I think I need a command, but not sure.

How does one set up win98 so that when you turn the computer on you don't
have to login.  In other words.... the computer comes up and you are looking
at your desktop ready to do something.

Been awhile since I had to get into the old system -- how do I limit the
size of my swap file or move it to another partition?
