I've configured a policy on a new GPO that is linked to a Domain Controllers OU. I can see using the GPMC modelling that the correct "Domain Profile" firewall settings are being" applied to the domain controllers. This includes remote desktop enablement.

I need to setup a network to share an internet connection. What is the best choice of built in firewall/router solution to do such a task assuming there is already a high speed line, leased line, in place. And does anyone know how you go about installing and configuring it?

Helping a friend who had windows lock with spyware, viruses etc. System would only reboot after loading the Windows logo (kept looping). I'm helping them after Dell and Earthlink techs couldnt' and told them to reformat their hard drive.

I have installed a firewall product on our machines in the office, but now it seems to block my ability to "ping" each other. I need to beable to access one PC via IP to run an application on, however the workstation seems to block all request. I alos belive it may be a problem ...

I use a DG814 to connect my Windows Network to the net. I have Smoothwall installed on a PC as my firewall. I bought the FVL328 to replace Smoothwall, assuming that it would work happily with the Netgear router. However as both of them want to use 192.168.0.1 it wasn't (isn't) ...

I always used usenet for downloading with newsbin , but now i can't make a connection anymore. I get the message server not found. This is since i'm using a router so i guess that's the reason but i don't know how to solve this.
