Wireless modem for Shed out the back !!! Recomendations needed.
My nephew needs a modem that has some range. Probably a router with
the card to put in the PC out in the shed. But i have no idea how to
set one of these up so i need some help. And some recomendations on

I have a single computer on a 2Wire 1800HG DSL gateway,
no other computers connected to the gateway. The computer
has two network connections -- Ethernet (DSL) and Dialup.
I recently upgraded from SP1 to SP2 for Windows XP Home.

I have a small 4 node XP peer-to-peer network.  All the PC's are XP Home
Edition.  One of the PC's has a printer that I want to share.  When I have
the Windows firewall enabled on that PC, the other PC's cannot get to the
printer (or shared files), when I turn the firewall off, ...

Is there a way to deploy XP Service Pack 2 and leave the firewall turned off
(along with the popup warning messages) from a command line or script?  The
switches that are included on the /? command are the usual Microsoft
switches, such as /passive, /norestart, etc.  I need to find ...

Can anyone tell me how may I acces my computer through a static IP even if
my computer is not connected to a network? I do have a network card. :)

I have a VPN connection running. Windows XP SP2 Firewal Enabled
When I unplug the cable and plug it back in again, some TCP connections are
lost (Netmeeting (chat/whiteboard), FTP).
If I disable the Windows Firewall, no packets are dropped and everything

Hi  I  just installed SP1 on the windows 2003 server.
When i click  on the winodows firewall setting  I got folllowing  error
" Windows Firewall  cannot run because another program or service is running
