I installed the RRAS-VPN service on my WIN2K3 member server with it's
default configuration and without any customization. But when you connnect
using 'user1" which is a domain a/c, it authenticates the user and he's able
to connect. I ddn't give the domain name in the login ...

I'm running a network using Active Directory on a Windows 2003 Server,
with 90% of the client machines running Windows XP Pro SP2. Windows
Firewall is disabled via group policy and with it a few users started
reporting the problem described in KB889320.

I am the only user of the PC with admin rights. Firewall set on - so why
does it turn itself off when I log off? Doesn't when I use switch user. No
warning, no nothing.

Has anyone experienced this unusual issue?
Firewall has been activated on my Windows 2003 SP1 Standard edition server.
(1 Nic)  Any time I attempt to ftp from the windows 2003 server it fails
half through any large file transfer. (25meg or greater).  I have created

If I disable the alg service on Windows 2003 SP1 Standard edition will the
firewall still function?
