I would like to get some more information about the built-in Windows
firewall. I only enabled File and Printer sharing and Remote Desktop for a
server to the local subnet only but, when I do netstat -a, a lot more ports
show up other than the ones associated with File and Printer ...

I have Windows XP Embedded SP2. There are two network adapters
installed on my platform and I would like the firewall active on only
one. I configured the firewall in the 'Advanced' tab to be active on

I have a LaptopXP networked to a desktopXP via a Router and the desktop can
see the full network but the laptop cannot and I get a message Home is not
available. You might not have permission to use this network resource. The
