firewall only works on programs and port numbers not IP addresses like most other firewalls. This is particularly hard for 127.0.0.1 the local host address. This should never be blocked, no matter what program is trying to use it.

I have 2 computers. One shares its internet with the other perfectly. But I can't share files. The computers were on router connection. But I took them off it and now network just the two computers with a crossover cable.
