WinXP, sometimes, not all the time, I cannot get my mail or browse the internet. I used to restart the computer and that would normally fix it, however lately, all I have to do is log off and then back on and everything is normal. Not sure if this is a firewall problem or what. ...

I can ping myself but nobody else. I turned off the WindowsXP Pro firewall, but don't know what else to try besides looking for other firewalls--and didn't find any. Any advice would be appreciated. TIA

I have tried several times to get the Firewall to stay turned on, but it seems like every time I turn the computer back on, I have to re-activate the Firewall. Is there any way I can get the thing to remain on?
