i'm having a lot of trouble keeping a connect active in terminal
services.  i connect and work for a few minutes and it boots me out.
i try logging back in and the connection is refused. thirty minutes

When using a vpn connection (Microsoft built in) and windows firewall is on
the firewall drops packets and no traffic can go in/out over the vpn.

This is my 1st posting on these newsgroups. Hello folks.
I've tried several free personal firewalls
ZoneAlarm, Comodo, PC Tools, and Vista Firewall control.
Every one of these have good qualities and features. With the exception of

We have a Windows 2003 domain with XP SP2 client computers. The firewall
configuration is applied using GPO.
On one computer, the GPO regarding the firewall settings is not applied.
Other GPO are correctly applied (like WSUS) on this machine. The

I got a new Fiber line from Verizon with 50/20 Mgs downloads and uploads.
When I ran the test I could see only 4 Mgs. Verizon had a registry key that
optimized the MTU and Windows size. This registry fix works fine on XP and
Windows 2000, but not on Windows 2003

I can't access my company's lan through a vpn if I have Windows Firewall
turned on.  I have to turn the firewall off, start the vpn and then I can see
the network shares.  What do I need to do to use the firewall and vpn at the
same time?
