I have a SOCKS5 proxy running on my machine. I have an exception in Windows firewall (under "Custom List") to allow only one machine to access this proxy. The exception looks like this: 192.168.1.2/255.255.255.255

Situation is as follows: 1. Not a gui bug from my part. 2. ICMPv6 stats weren't updating because no gui code yet. 3. ICMPv6 reporter not receiving anything.

RDP connection refused after removing ... I've been using RDP for a long time going from my linux machines to a Dell 700m running Windows XP pro SP2. I connect to it from both inside an outside the home network and have with success for a long time.

Is there a reference to show which firewall rules are added by each server role? How do I edit or delete firewall rules automatically added by a role...I seem to be blocked from doing this even when running as admin?

i've noticed a brute force attack on my win2003 SP2 R2 server, IP of attacker changes , i've strong password,is there any way to deny the attack from the source when authentication occure more than 4 times forexample without to disable the user account used ?
