I am helping a friend with WindowsME - it is was an OEM
and they do not have the distribution CD.  We tried
following the instructions for regedit from the knowledge
base, but the "noWindowsUpdate" was not present anywhere

I installed the new Intel driver from the MS site (Intel
Corporation Display Driver Released on July 11 2001) and
now my video is corrupted.  some icons show as just a
handful of pixels, streaming video is choppy.

I am not able to complete downloading the critical updates
to Windows ME on either my home or business computer. One
is dial up the DSL. In each case, it does nort appear to
complete the download process. Help!
