files I never thought to see there, Viz:

I updated my DirectX 9.0 at Windows Update, and now lots
of programs (Windows Media Player, IE, Kyodai) that use
ActiveX are buggy and my GUI is going nuts.

I am working on Dell 8100 with Win Me. The computer won't
boot past splash. I have been working for days trying to
resolve this. Today my customer told me she was getting a
wuauboot error. She called Dell and they told her to

What is netcnucm.  I tried to install a cable modem and
after restarting the computer and the message "new
hardware found updating"  after that a message came up
saying that missing netcnucm.sys look/copy

When I open the "Help & Support" index tab within WinMe
nothing is there - only a blank "Find a topic in the
Index" window. Have reloaded WinMe but to no avail. Any

I recently downloaded Service Pack 4, the worm fix and
updated my Norton Live Update and virus definitions.  
Immediately afterward when trying to run SP4, I get the
error message "hardware error, attached device not

Keep getting the following error message: Explorer has
caused an error in WMPDXM.dll and will now close.  If the
problem persists try restarting your computer.
I have tried to restart and doesn't help.  Anyone have

when I try to open files and start microsoft programs, I
get- EXPLORER HAS CAUSED AN FTAPP.DLL ERROR

When I turn on my computer, it says "operating system not
found".  I've tried everything that I could possibly
think of.  I've used the Restore disk that came w/my
notebook (Compaq Presario 1700T).  I've also tried a
