i have an HP pavillion computer with windows ME, it was
recently infected with several copies of the virus
loveletter A@mm.vbs. i was able to remove most of the
infected files, except for the ones belonging to a program

I've deleted a file called ssp.reg and now my computer on
start up returns an error messager C:\ssp.reg cannnot
write to disc; also I can no longer run scandisc from
windows as it says disc is being written to.

After I open a couple programs, then it locks up to where
nothing will open, either from shortcuts or from the start
menu.  Mouse is not locked up, and keyboard still works,
but nothing opens.  If restart, it works for s couple of

Need to boot ME from floppy, and cd does not have the
folder make bootdisk, as 2000 does. System repair does not
seem to fix problem booting from hard drive. Any Thoughts?

I turned on my computer this morning to discover that I
now have absolutely zero sound.  I tried rebooting several
times, checked the speakers, ran Scandisc(though I'm not
