I get a message from my Windows ME "need file
USBNTMAP.SYS" when I connect the USB cable from my sony
digital camcorder and try to run and view my pictures on
Image Mixer ver 1.5 program that came with the camera.

While opening a file using ADOBE READER 4.0 & 6.0, I get a
message telling me that font WP-MathA could not be found.

Someone installed Apple's Quicktime software on my Dell laptop.  I hate
this crap software and Apple's websites are no help when you want to remove
it.  Does anyone know how to disinfect this plague from my machine?
An example of my problems is that if I click, say, a midi file ...

When I go into the control panel and then into the
Add/Remove Programs option, it doesn't show any of the
programs that I should be able to add or remove. The area
where they usually are is blank.

I get this error continuously on startup.  Also a lot of
Explorer errors of all kinds.  
I use IE6 and Netscape browsers, and both of them keep
causing errors and crashing.

I was trying to format my hard drive and I got a bad
command prompt. I used format C: . I cannot do the format
from MSdos Prompt either. If someone could help I would
appreciate it.

At the Windows Update site I am told that there are no critical updates for
me to install.  I also see KB828750 [the October cumulative patch for IE
6SP1] as successfully installed when I look at the installation history.

I cannot install new software on Windows ME, including
Windows updates.  Everything already loaded on my

While installing the newest security update from MS,
Norton gave me an error, flagging xmldso.cab as a virus
file.  I unfortunately let Norton delete the file.  After
the fact, I find out that this is Norton error, falsely

When I open a folder with pictures in it and change the
view to thumbnails, I just get a box with a logo. No
thumbnail....any thoughts?
