I am on a Dell Inspiron 2500 with Windows ME.
I recently had problems connecting to the Internet.  My
modem and line passed all diagnostic tests and would dial
out,  but when I tried to dial out using the PeoplePC

I have searched and found the answer to this error message-
to rename the wininit.ini to wininit.old.........but that
file is nowhere to be found - only the wininit.exe and

Hi, my laptop is running with Windows ME. For some
unkonwn reason, I turned on my computer today and it was
all messed up. I ran "scanreg /fix" and later I
experienced the following message:

I'm running Windows ME 4.90.3000 and am getting an error
message whenever I boot up....
IEDLL.EXE is corrupt, please restart windows if you
continue to experience problems.....

Running aol 8.0 fine. When downloading 9.o get a
message, "continuing will corrupt kernel32.dll. If 9.0 is
loaded from a disk it shows the banner then the screen
goes blank
