running windows ME need help?

While on the internet i accidenatlly downloaded some
random software. I've tried to uninstall it but the pC
just crashes. I've looked everywhere on the computer for a
fold or root whhcih i can delete but haven't found

When shutting down computer, I get a blue screen with
error :0E:0197:BFF8E1AD. I have windows ME software.
I would like to know what this means and is there a web
site that list the blue screen error's.

I get the following message when I boot to Win ME:
The IPHLPAPI.DLL file can't start.  Check the file to determine the problem.
I get this message about every third startup.  How can I fix this?

I am now suddenly getting a slew of strange TMP files in the C:\Windows
folder. Some of the are:

I installed windows ME over windows 98 . If I uninstall
windows ME will I still have Windows 98. Will 98 be
affected?

I have installed all latest stuff re win update site,
including DirectX 9.0b.  Been trying to play the playable
demo from the Mail last week, the lord of the rings one.  
It says it cannot intall because 'unsuitable graphics

I have noticed that there seems to be some folders being created in the
Windows tree, ns_temp8 (with various other numbers after the ns_temp).
Inside the folder is a subfolder called Bin, with various other files and
sub folder called Components.  I can't relate this to any program ...

Having problems scanning hard drive.  It stalls each time

Im having a problem with my CD programs.
I've been using programs called "BeatJam" and "SonicStage"
and have a weird error, When putting a Cd in, Both
programs come up but wont recognise CDs being in the Drive.
