Everytime I shut my computer down, it hangs or locks up.  
Any ideas as to why this is happening or how I can fix it?

When turning the computer on it loads up the wallpaper but
stops there. No Icons on the desktop, no start menu, right
clicking the screen doesn't prompt anything. ctrl+alt+del.
brings up the task mgr and it shows one program (devldr16)

When trying to use this program I become very upset with

Anybody know how to fix this?
I upgraded my windows media player one day and got the
error message "cannot update file %1 from %2". but the
computer continued to work correctly.

When I restart my computer, I get a black screen
saying "Windows could not ugrade one or more files %1 to %
2" and to press any key to continue. After pressing "any
key" Windows continues to load and starts up. Please help.

Has anyone encountered the following message:
"PGMONITR has caused an error in PGSDK.DLL.  PGMONITR will
now shut down"
