I am using: Movie Maker 1; Windows ME; and a Winnov AV PCI
capture card.
My problem: MM1 won't record. The preview screen is black.
It does start to record, and after I stop the recording,

When starting my computer it seems to boot up ok but, when
I get to the log in screen and it looks like safe mode.
Except, the "safe mode" is not in the corners of the

the stlbdist.dll  system file  what would be the best
way to reinstate the file. any help in the right direction

I had my System Restore set at the lowest level  (200M) .  When I set it over than 200M, it

I am burner dvd's that are 1xmax on a burner that is
4xmax.  I was told by the company that created the
software that you had to turn down the speed of the burner
through windows.  But he didn't no where for windos me.

can see a Syshost program but have no idea what it is.

I have Windows ME and have been told I should upgrade to
XP, but I have heard that XP really slows down your

Every once in a while my computer throughs an error
message about the KERNEL32.DLL file - most recently when
trying to upgrade AOL (no comments please).  Can someone
tell me where I can either look to see if this file is
