My mother in law ran windows update and installed all the
updates available.  Her cable modem stopped working.  She
tried to run system restore and it has been going for
about an hour and seems to have frozen up and isn't doing

Error that reads as follows:   Msimn has caused an error
in (unknown)  msimn will now close.  If you are continuing
to experience problems try restating your computer.

I have accidently deleted the file that controls the Quick

I've been in the process of upgrading the SW and HW in my
machine for a short time to include a 8500DV Video board
and various SW programs for Video applications work.  Some
progs worked and some didn't work.  In the process of

I reformatted the hard drive on a older Compaq that was
running Win 95 upgraded to 98, my question is when i
finally find a Windows ME full version to install on this
system does that include DOS or do I need something else

I am running Me, and I bought the XP upgrade. After
installing it, the computer started giving me all kinds of
problems. It got so bad I called HP for tech support. The
tech said to NOT use the upgrade version of XP onto the Me
