My Windows ME gets hung during start-up just as it begins
to load the system tray.  It shows the clock and then it
locks up (no keyboard or mouse movement).  It does the
same in safe mode.

The error message "S32EVNT1.DLL AND SYMEVNT.386 DO NOT
MATCH" is displayed when WIN ME starts.  What does that
mean?  How did it happen? and What do I do to fix it?

my son managed to set up a user in Windows ME, but forgot
the password. We never log the user off, just shut down
